Terms & Conditions


1.1          These Conditions apply to each service/order that Ericksson Pty Ltd trading as Byte Computers (ABN 58390374191) carries out. These Conditions do not apply for which there are separate terms and conditions specifics to other products and services.

1.2          Your acceptance of goods and services from us means that you accept these Conditions. No variations by you of these Conditions will be valid unless our authorized representative gives you written confirmation that that variation is accepted.

1.3          All onsite booking customers must provide parking for our Cars. If paid parking is required, this will be on charged to the customer.

1.4          Byte Computers technicians are either employed by head office or an independently owned and operated franchise.

1.5          Byte Computers reserves the right to change these conditions from time to time.


2.1          You agree to pay in full the amount specified on any invoice rendered by us for goods and services supplied to you on completion of service (C.O.D payment terms), unless we agree otherwise in writing

2.2          Where we make individual deliveries of goods or deliveries in instalments, you may be invoiced separately for each delivery in which case, you agree to pay each invoice according to its terms.

2.3          There is a “No Solution, No Charge” policy. This means that if we cannot provide a solution to the problem, we will not charge you for our services. In some cases, the solution may be that you need to upgrade or replace your software or hardware. If we advise you to do so and you choose not to upgrade or replace your software or hardware, you acknowledge that we have met our commitment to you by providing a solution to your problem, whether or not you choose to implement that solution.

2.4          A customer “call back” is a no charge visit resulting from the issue not being fixed on first visit. If the original issue that was booked for was not directly addressed, no solution was offered and the problem persists there will be a second service to attempt to offer a solution.

2.5          We accept cash, credit card, debit cards, business cheques and EFTPOS. We do not accept payment by American Express and Diners Club cards. Payments by any financial card

You authorise us to charge all fees incurred by you in relation to the services provided to the credit card designated by you. If payment is not received from the card issuer or its agents for any reason, you agree to pay us all amounts due immediately on demand.

2.6          Byte Computers do not stock or sell any second hand parts, systems or laptops. It is not in your interest to receive inferior products and our warranty does not cover anything outside our approved supplier stock.

3              RISK AND TITLE

3.1          During any service an adult over the age of 18 must be present at all time.

3.2          Product warranty and liability depends on the individual manufacturer and will be followed accordingly.

3.3          You are liable to pay in full the price of any goods or services delivered to you. If you fail to pay for goods by the due date for payment, we will be entitled to retake possession of the goods, resell them and keep the proceeds of the sale.

3.4          Byte Computers will not collect, receive or dispose of any old parts. Disposal of any computer hardware is the full responsibility of the individual and/or business.

3.5          With your approval our technicians may decide to take your computer device with them and continue the repairs offsite. Once the repairs have been completed Byte Computers will make every opportunity to contact you so we can return your device. After 90 days if we cannot contact you, we will consider the matter completed and dispose of the device.


4.1          Please note that our intention is always to book your service in the quickest possible time that suits your needs, but there may be unanticipated events that hinder our technicians arriving at your location on time or if at all. If our technician is late or cannot make your appointment for any unforseen circumstance, we will endeavour to rebook your service to the best possible time available.

5              PRIVACY

5.1          You acknowledge that personal information concerning you collected or held by us may be used for a variety of purposes including:

to supply goods and services that you have ordered/commissioned

to administer your account and to enforce this contract; and

for marketing purposes which  may include disclosure of your information to other members of Byte Computers

5.2          You also agree that if you provide us with personal information about any other individual, you will ensure that the individual is aware:

that you have supplied their personal information to us and the reason; and

  1. b) of the details in this clause 9 which apply to information we collect about them as well as information we collect about you.

5.3          If you fail to provide any information requested by us, we may be unable to supply the goods and services that you order or request.

5.4          In most circumstances, you have a right to access any personal information which we collect and hold about you and to have it corrected if it is wrong.

5.5          You consent to us sharing your personal information with other Byte Computers group companies including those overseas and with our service providers who are located overseas.

5.6          If you apply to us for credit terms we may give certain information about you including identity particulars to a credit reporting agency and we will tell you separately about other uses and disclosures of your personal information relevant to your application for, or our provision of, credit

6              GST

6.1          In these Conditions the terms “GST”, “supply” and “tax invoice” have the meaning given to those terms in the A New Tax System (Goods and Services) Tax 1999 (Cth) and the term “GST” also includes any penalties or additional tax imposed in relation to the GST payable in relation to the supply of services under these Conditions.

6.2          Any amount payable by you under clause 2 is inclusive of GST.

6.3          If the amount of GST paid or payable by us on a sale made to you differs from the amount of GST you have paid to us for the goods or services sold, then the amount of GST paid by you will be adjusted either by further payment by you to us or repayment to you by us of the amount of the adjustment.

6.4          In relation to any GST paid by a party under these Conditions, including any adjustment, the payee will provide the payor with a tax invoice.


7.1          Without prejudice to our other rights at law, we may cease supply of goods or services to you immediately by giving notice in writing if you breach any material term of these Conditions.


8.1          The Trade Practices Act 1974 (Cth) and similar laws may confer rights and remedies on you in relation to the provision by us of goods or services ordered by you which cannot be excluded, restricted or modified (Non-excludable Rights). We do not exclude any Non-excludable Rights but we do exclude all other conditions and warranties implied by custom, law or statute.

8.2          Except as provided for by the Non-excludable Rights:

all goods and services ordered by you are provided without warranties of any kind, either express or implied;

we do not warrant that those goods and services will be complete or free from all errors;

we do not warrant that information will continue to be available to us to enable us to keep those goods and services up-to-date; and

  1. d) all representations are expressly excluded and you have not relied on any representations in ordering goods and services from us.

8.3          To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for breach of any implied warranty or condition which cannot be excluded is limited at our option to supply of the good or service ordered by you again or paying for their resupply.


Congratulations on your new website purchase. We have over 13 years combined experience with web design, search engine optimisation, pay per click marketing, social media marketing and online marketing strategies. Our packages have been developed specifically for the needs of small to medium business owners and their customers.

9.1          Our website build process is as follows;

We receive your enquiry stipulating the package you are wanting to purchase

After our initial contact, we will send you a ‘Project Agreement’ for the set-up fee and any additional products (if applicable). You will also receive a link to complete our online creative brief.

When we confirm payment and receive your creative brief, your website project is logged to be built

Once built we will email you a link to your new website mock-up for approval. We allow 48 hours for feedback and change requests. Any changes requested after the 48 hours will be charged at our normal ‘Website Maintenance’ hourly rate.

After we have completed your changes, your website will be set live

9.2          Payment in full option one – All products paid in full for two years will receive a discount of up to 16% on the total monthly reoccurring costs over 24 months.

9.3          Payment monthly option two – A reoccurring monthly charge to be paid one month in advance before or on the first Monday of every month (not including any set-up fees and/or additional products)

9.4          Your website project will not commence until we have received full payment for the following items;

Set-up fee

Basic SEO set-up (if applicable)

Content management (if applicable)

Copy writing (if applicable)

Tailored CMS video tutorial (if applicable)

9.5          Payment to SuperGeek by the following methods;

Direct payment

Visa / MasterCard

PayPal (on approval only due to additional fees)

9.6          We do not refund once payment is received and work has commenced on your project.

9.7          We require the ongoing monthly payments to be paid one month in advance, before the first Monday of every month. We will email two reminder messages.

9.8          Our payment system is automated. You will receive 3 separate emails to pay your outstanding invoice. If your invoice is not paid within the 60 day period your site will automatically drop offline. If payment is not received after the next full calendar month, the hosting and website will be cancelled completely. For the website to come back online, all outstanding invoices must be paid and a further 3 months paid in advance. We do not employ a debt collection agency nor do we spend time calling to chase overdue invoices.

10           Domain Name & Hosting

10.1        Your website package includes 1 x domain name, unlimited bandwidth and hosting for 24 months. If you decide not to take advantage of this domain name and use your own, that is your choice.

10.2        If you decide to use your current domain name, it will be your responsibility to forward your domain name to our server. We do this so as not to disrupt any email addresses attached to your domain name. We will provide you with instructions on how to do this with your current domain name host.

10.3        Due to intellectual property and internet security, all our websites are 100% hosted on our servers. We will not hand out any files associated with the website or allow ftp access.

10.4        All our website packages allow for unlimited sub domains (subdomain.domainname.com.au). Please email your requests to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and allow for five working days to action your request.

10.5        If you choose to use the domain name attached to your package, we will also supply you with domain emails (Bronze = 3, Silver = 5, Gold = 10, Platinum = 20, eCommerce = unlimited). 10.6        After 24 months we will invoice you to continue the hosting and renew the domain name for another 24 months. Cost for domain name and hosting renewal for 24 months is: Bronze & Silver = $132 inc, Gold & Platinum = $264 inc, Custom = $396 inc

Content Management System (CMS)

10.7        We currently use the open source Word Press CMS as the engine for our websites. We are not currently looking at other systems but may choose to in the future. We believe that Word Press is the easiest CMS to attach our template options to, the editing functions are world class and Google loves Word Press, so indexing and ranking is favoured by the search engines.

Our Basic Search Engine Optimisation Package (SEO)

10.8        We do not include the basic SEO set up with our websites as many businesses like to control these themselves. If you do not know how to tag and/or index your website, we offer a package that will take care of the basics for you. This package includes;

  1. a) All in one Word Press SEO plugin
  2. b) Custom page URL’s (build pages only)
  3. c) Custom H1 & H2 tags (build pages only)
  4. d) Title, Description & Keyword meta data (build pages only)
  5. e) Load and set up Google Analytics with supplied login details
  6. f) Google, Yahoo and Bing search engine submission

11           eCommerce Websites

11.1        We use either a Word Press eCommerce plugin or ‘Magento’ CMS templates for our eCommerce websites. Besides that, the above 9.1 – 10.4 conditions are the same. If you require eCommerce, then please stipulate that as there is an additional set up fee of $550 inc and $55 inc a month.

12          Monthly Maintenance

12.1        If you are time poor and would rather we manage the content on your website, we offer a service that enables you to send us what you would like to do on your website and we will implement this for you. This service only includes;

Adding one new website page to your website each month

  1. b) Content (text, images, videos, links) changes to any existing or new page on your website

This service does not include changes to the website template or structure. Changes outside of this service will need to be discussed and negotiated with our Online Marketing team.

12.2        Tailored CMS Tutorial VideoIf you would like a personalised CMS video tutorial stepping through your website’s CMS and how to use it, please let our team know before you pay your set up fee. Our web designer will create this as they are building your website. We will email this video to you as a Screenr link. Due to privacy and intellectual property we will not load this video onto YouTube.

Your Personal Information & Details

13           Personal Information

13.1        We do not share you details with any third party. Your email address will be added to our e-database where you may receive monthly alerts about our Byte Computers products, Byte Computers news specific to your website and online marketing. If you do not want to receive these, please unsubscribe after the first email.

14           Services

14.1        Cancellation of Service: When you receive the renewal notice, you will have the opportunity to cancel the service(s).

14.2        Pricing: Service(s) pricing is subject to change and notice of any pricing changes will be notified prior to renewal date. Service(s) prices are locked in for the duration of the contract length and pricing changes will only take effect upon renewal.

14.3        Download and setup instructions will be sent to you after the initial sign up.


15           Byte Computers Online Helpdesk

15.1        Byte Computers uses Team Viewer to remote access devices. Our helpdesk technicians cannot access your computer without your approval and password. Our helpdesk pricing is $45.00 per 20 min intervals. Prior to remoting into your device, we require a valid credit card that will be charged for the first $45.00 upfront. As we near each 20 min cycle, you will be asked if you would like us to continue.

15.2        The Byte Computers Helpdesk cannot fix all problems. Your computer needs to be on, operational and have an internet connection. Please keep in mind that once we remote into your computer, your internet connection speed will determine how fast we can sort your issue/s. For a list of what our Helpdesk can help you with,
